 WHAT CAN YOU DO AS A FAN TO PROMOTE ADAM?

Adam Storm is primarily a Promotional site. The Tabs on the menu at the top of all pages offer a variety of ways we, Adam's Fans, can Promote Adam. I hope you will spend time exploring the contents and become familiar with the variety of options available.

ESSENTIALS NEEDED IN ORDER TO PROMOTE ADAM

Create a Twitter Account:

Why:

1. You will help increase Adam's Followers on Twitter
2. Follow Adam on Twitter @adamlambert
   
3. The Majority of Adam News starts on Twitter.
4. Adam Tweets from his twitter Account and you can tweet to Adam
5. You don't want to miss Adam Twitter Parties.
6. Trend when important events occur such as his new Single and Album.
7. Please Follow @TrendingAdam to help coordinate Trending for Adam
8. Also Follow our Twitter Page for Adam Storm @AdamStormHits 

How To Create a Twitter Account:

1. Navigate to http://twitter.com/
2. Fill in the first field with your full name.
3. Select a username
   
4. Enter a password. Be tricky! Make sure your password contains letters, numbers, and symbols.
5. Enter your email address.
6. Fill in the Captcha to prove you're human, not a machine!

Choosing a Username: Tips and Tricks

• Your username is the name your followers use when sending @replies, direct messages, or Retweets.
• It will also form the URL of your home timeline. We've provided a few available suggestions, but feel free to choose your own.
• Please note: You can change your username in your account settings at any time, as long as the new username is not in use.
• Usernames must be fewer than 15 characters in length, and cannot contain 'admin' or 'twitter' in order to avoid brand confusion.

Tip: Entering Your Email

We use this to confirm your account before you can finish the signup process. Be sure to enter an email address that you actively use. Emails can only be tied to one Twitter account at a time in our system.

3. This is a way to form an Adam Lambert Community world-Wide and gain followers for Adam.
4. You can comment, post photos, videos and talk about Adam Events.
5. Most sites where you will be commenting, viewing videos, voting allow you to sign up via Facebook. This is so convenient as you do not have to spend time filling in information each time you go to a new site. Note: Adam Storms's Facebook Page can be found at Adam Storm
   

Sign Up for A YouTube Account:

WHY:  

1. You cannot Rate or Comment unless you are logged into your YouTube Account.
2. Places like VEVO's YouTube Channel require you to sign in to your YouTube accont first before you can view their videos.

HOW TO SIGN UP AT YOUTUBE

In the top-right corner of the YouTube page, click on Sign Up

1. If you have a Google account (such as your own Gmail address) you can use the same login and password since YouTube is a Google service. Click on Sign in with your Google Account.

OR

2. Enter your details in the Create Your YouTube Account form, including email address, a password, a unique user name and other such info.

3. Read the Terms of Service and check the I agree box before clicking on Create my account.

4. Check the email address you provided when signing up and follow the instructions to complete the registration.

PROMOTIONAL LIST

This is not a list of what you must or should do each day. This list offers ways you can promote Adam. You can do something(s) each day or a few times a week or on weekends. It is all up to you and how much time you have available in your RW life to support Adam.

• TWITTER
  • #FollowFriday on Twitter? Have you seen a tweet including #FollowFriday (or #ff shortened) and a list of user names preceded by the @ symbol? This tradition was born spontaneously within the Twitter community to recommend your favorite tweeps to your followers. This portal counts all of these recommendations and computes a ranking of the most recommended Twitter users in the world.
    • Example Tweet: Awesome #FF for @adamlambert He was the bomb on Project Runway!
    • Adam was #1 This Week!!
    • The more points you have in Follow Friday (#FF), the higher up you'll land in the Follow Friday rankings.
      
      • When #FFing Adam, always make sure his name stands alone in your tweet so he'll get all the points - 150 pts. (if you put others in the same tweet, then the points are divided among them)
      • Tweet 5 #FF for Adam. From the rules wording, it is hard to tell how many will count so just to be safe put in at the most 5.
        
      • Put the reason why people should follow him
      • Put a descriptive word before the #FF
      • Don't list more than 50 usernames in the day (if you do, those over 50 will not count and that means the ones you do listing Adam might not count)
      • If we can get everyone to do it correctly, Adam will rank as #1 Globally, #1 in the US, and #1 Celebrity.

  •  Google Adam several times each day and Subscribe to Adam Lambert Google Alerts: Google Alerts are email updates of the latest relevant Google results (web, news, etc.) based on your choice of query or topic.

      • Enter Adam Lambert after the words "Google alerts." Go through each option on the list and select your choices. Make sure to put your e-mail address in the last box.

• GET GLUE: is a great place to write reviews and comments about Adam's Singles and Album. The more we write them, the more these sites will help promote Adam.
  • The goal is to get people, other than fans, to be curious and listen to his single and album.

• PING: is another great way to build an Adam Community and let iTunes know we are here and want Adam prominently displayed when his new music comes out. It is all about the numbers.
  • Go into your iTunes and click Store on the menu list and then click to edit your Account 
  • Ping is listed Under Account. If it shows tuned off, turn it on and then edit your profile and enter your information and what kind of privacy you wish to maintain. When finished save it and Click Done
  • Now when you go into itunes you will see Ping listed under Store on the the list on the left side of the page.
  • Click Ping and it will bring you to a Recent Activity Page
    On the right side of the Activity Page you will see Find People with a box underneath it. Enter Adam Lambert in the Search Box and hit the Enter Key on your keyboard
  • You should now be at Adam's Page. Click to Follow Him
  • You will also see a list of Followers on this page and the Words: See All. Click those words  and you will see a list of all people following Adam.
  • From this list you can choose people to follow and who will follow you back.
  • You will also see to the right on the Activity page under Ping a list of items you can click on such as your Profile if you want to edit it, your reviews, People that you are following and who follow you, etc.
  • As we all know from previous experience, writing comments and reviews is really important. Stay positive and avoid arguments. Arguing doesn't do Adam or his Fan Base any favors. Stay classy and respectful.

• GROUPS: There are Adam Lambert Groups at VH1, MTV and PopRebulic.  Signup and join these groups. Add friends just like Facebook. The more people that join, the more you will make Adam relevant to the site!!!

This is a good way to get non Adam Fans to listen and love Adam's music the way we do. it also helps to get Adam's social media stats up.  Every time he is played or talked about his stats go up!! I will write more about this new way of listening and sharing music in the future.
