Milkywayfairy......some of my email friends told me about the article on radio politics via email today.  I have to go to the gym but I'll be back and voting late tonight.  I can't bear to read it right now because I know I'll be livid.  We know it's not good and I'm sure many glamberts have given up.  I won't and please don't you guys.   This is a great site, and at least we're giving him the best chance he has.  I have given CDs to people that tell me they love his voice and loved him on IDOL. I am trying to do my part to keep him in this business.

Been voting lots of OMusic, it's making me so sleepy , need a break, will do BB and mmtop20, the mm site is fixed, we can now vote continuously by clearing cookies, hope we can get Adam to #1 before other fans find out.

Barbls, I saw the article about the radio shit, unbelievable!! Hope there's something we, as listeners, can do something about this, we need a revolution, lol

I feel your pain Barbls.  The last DJ I talked to when I request NCOE asked me "where is it charting" and "who wrote the song."  When I got into the whole chart thing (it wasn't top 40 of course) he said that's not good.  Many of these artists like Katy, kelly, Carrie, Bieber get that automatic high spot on the billboard so they are played right away.  Adam has to visit stations, give free shows and beg for one song to be played?  I know he doesn't have the fan base.  But they do play other obscure artists at times and you can't tell me they are getting all the requests.  The DJ I talked to said he'd listen to NCOE (he hadn't heard it).  I called back several times but I could never get through.  I personally emailed him to ask if he listened to it.  No response. 

Some people think he just doesn't sing or write good songs.  I tell them he writes with all the same songwriters and has the same management company as Katy Perry.  His team is working hard for him.  But when Billboard places him so far back on the charts, top 40 stations won't play him.  Then his next song starts even further back.  I am livid and tell the stations now that I will buy satellite or use Spotify.  I refuse to listen to them.

Ro, this is the one place to let it out. We all know that the program directors at the corporate level are being so unfair to Adam and his singles. They have put him in a demographic Hell Hole to justify why they are slow in giving his music airplay and in a lot of instances no play. Adam and his fans seem to be hitting their heads against a wall to get his music out there. It is definitely a Catch 22. There is only a certain percentage of fans that request like any fan base. If radio doesn't play NCOE how does it get out to the public for them to judge and decide whether they want to hear it again. It is just frustrating. Even VH1 for the first time is not adding Adam's video to the Countdown in a reasonable time. NCOE is a great pop song. The video is amazing. There is no reason for either to be so dissed. I love Sirius attitude. If you request, we will play and they are playing NCOE. I wish all other stations would play fair like them. That is why I do not believe stations with their pat answer that NCOE is not being requested. Adam has a track record with WWFM and IIHY and radio still treats his music this way. I will keep requesting, but am so fed up with radio and the way the chosen few get played right from the start and others little or no play! I am using Spotify, Last.fm and recently Mog more to help get Trespassing out there.

Rant over and back to voting and requesting. Now that felt good!!

Happy Monday Everyone...Radio is so frustrating more often than not...There's times when I want to reach through the phone & choke the DJ's even if it isn't their fault...Just as @Roro said it's all up to the musical directors whom hold the reigns...Along with calling local stations it helps to request via their websites request form and for those of us who don't do the text thing I suggest using the mediabase forms even if they don't hold as much credit as texting, tweeting & calling,also anyone can request using the mediabase forms no matter where you're from...@Kat you're doing everything right sometimes the DJ's say one thing and do another...If you could email directly to your radio stations musical director that may help speed things up...Here's a link for the top 40 chart which my local DJ sent me http://www.fmqb.com/article.asp?id=255602  The rankings on this chart determine airplay and right now NCOE is right near the bottom :( Really hoping we can get it into the top 25 soon...Have a great day Y'all

Yes Kat, it's ALL up to the Music Director.  Would think record company may have some say.  It's the same in Oz.

But requesting does help.  Trying so hard here to get NCOE the vid on TV Request Channels.  We vote, buy wonderful music.  Just wish we could purchase more voters.  This is the only place I can come to and express my feelings.  Without here I'd feel so alone.  Votaholics you give me heart.  Thank you.

 I texted my local radio station today and asked if I was wasting my time requesting NCOE as much as I have been. One of the DJ's texted me back and said not at all. He said the only reason why they weren't playing it was that it was not on their playlist. He told me to keep requesting it and he would ask the music director to add it to their playlist. This is the radio station I spoke with another DJ at 3 weeks ago and she told me she would ask it to be added. This is 103 in Winnipeg. 

We have to request it over and over again at various times of the day and to keep doing it. I would absolutely love to know if there are other Winnipeg Glamberts as this would help immensely if others requested at 103 especially if they are telling me all we have to do is request it to have it added to their playlist. Please tell me I am not alone!!

Hello Votaholics ~ They still have not put NCOE on the VH1 Top 20 voting grid.

NCOE has been consistently in the top 10 VH1 Most Popular Music. Right now it's at # 4, but has been in the # 1 spot several times. I guess we just have to be patient.

 I tried calling a few radio stations last night.  One answered right away and seemed to take my request no problem.  I couldn't get through on some of the others.  The local station they gave me for Wisconsin was in the central part of the state.  I try local stations in Milwaukee.  I'll try again today.  It's tough because one DJ asked me (when I called 99.1 in Milwaukee) where is it charting?   I couldn't lie and he said "that's not good."  If he's not top 40 many stations won't play the song.  The music industry sucks.
