this will definitely help us monitor Adam's social media standing. I am getting it e-mailed each week. It will be great to look at once the single is released!!!

B - it's hard to glean real info from some of these stats i think, but this looks good for tracking progress. i have several articles with charts i am pouring through and i'll try to get it together to post them soon. the one thing i cannot find is the relative importance of the myriad of social media/downloading and streaming hits and views to charting.

high placement on social media sites gets Adam's name out there and shows that he's popular. who knows how much work we're gonna have to do to get radio play. so all this indirect-related charting stuff would help, i hope.

 

i found this site awhile ago and am still trying to figure out the stats. it's interesting but i've never been a numbers person ♥

The figures for YouTube seem to show figures only for Adams Official Channel and not overall video views and likes. Poor showing for Adam's Official Channel. Really need to concentrate on getting more people to sign up!!!

question: how to address the fact that youtube plays and likes are up, but fans/subscribers and channel views are down by so much? once you're a fan/subscriber, does everything you play figure in this column? or do you need to put each new you tube viewed on your channel? 

B maybe you can post the link and instruction to subscribe a few places. FB also down by so much. many of adam's fans don't seem to have FB accounts. not sure how to improve this except to remind them that all it takes is a new email address (unless you really want a FB) and some made up identity to go with it. ideas about why the resistance? suggestions about how to increase FB fans/likes? can't help but notice that FB is listed first . . .

Stats for AdamLambertVEVO Channel will be found here as soon as it ranks in the top 1000. I think this is about the second week straight it's not been on the list. When I first found the site, ALVC was #992 on the list, then it just kept dropping and dropping and eventually fell off the list.

I started a thread at AO to suggest that someone anyone update Adam's Official YT Channel. Good idea, right? I thought so since it's such an outdated POS mess. Anyway, Ed responds and basically says it's not worth the effort!!!?!! lol so much at this, esp after the whole MTV contest thingy to get as many subscribers as poss to get front page promo at YT my thread at ao

 

Carly, the FAQs at NBS explain the decreases/increases (i'm still trying to figure it out) Next Big Sound Stat Info

Barbls - just wondering if you keep a copy of these charts under separate cover.  Particularly interested in the last two columns - % Chg and Totals.  Fully expect a dramatic change when the new music hits.  Radio play should go thru the roof. Will give us a good indication of how it's been received.  Interested to see that Wiki Profile Views and Twitter fans are up in the last week.  Album anticipation?

carly.nyc - would be very interested to see your charts.  Wouldn't be perturbed about FB page 'likes' - last week was rather quiet.

Kristina LOL yes i saw that thread/response! major issues with that guy. this is a public site so will say no more ;)

Roro i'll try to get it together to at least post some charts. i've gotten a bit lost in them, also in speaking to a few ppl about how to interpret them/what's really going on these days. my conclusion: about so many things, no one knows for sure yet. and there's is a lot that is not public. the most inscrutable aspect of them all is how the streams/digital downloads non-itunes or amazon (but from last, pandora etc., and from the new free downloading and streaming sites) are aggregated to determine chart position. i've read the debates on how the artist vs label is or is not paid (even on radio spins). but the charting -- forget it!

Kristina, I just read your thread at AO. God, sorry to say this, but I lost all respect for Ed a long time ago and have no regard for what he thinks is important when it comes to Adam. Thank god new management is handling Adam's promotion from now on. We really need to let the fans know how important it is to subscribe to the Adam Lambert VEVO Channel and Adam's official Channel. The problem with Adam's Official Channel is, like you said in the AO thread, they have never updated the channel by adding videos. I was amazed at how little there was to view when YouTube held that contest. I wanted Adam to win that so badly, but fans response was not great. Part of the reason was that it was difficult to sign up and the other was that there was so little content at the official channel. It should be filled with videos, and it is not. If you watch anything that is not at the official channel, it does not count as a view.

Is it true about Myspace? "Myspace is supposed to be revamped with plans to take on iTunes, Spotify, and Vevo by becoming a music hub." I just signed up at Spotify. Wanted to see what it is like. Do not have a clear understanding yet as to how it works.

Billboard is ridiculous. They have so screwed up Adam's recordings (all from myspace) with someone else singing some of his songs and this singer is the worst. Sounds nothing like Adam. This has been going on for around 2 years and no one has corrected it. So few fans go there. I have noticed that I have been getting a lot more friend requests from the Adam Lambert Groups at VH1, MTV and Ping lately. Some fans are aware of their importance. We have to make a lot more aware of it.

We need to do something at Adam Storm to spotlight this. With Adam's new album and single coming out we need to make everyone aware that subscribing and viewing at these channels is important. I don't know how best to do this. A Thread, A separate Page where we can list the Channels, Groups (such as VH1, MTV, Billboard, Ping). We can also show charts on how Adam is doing on all these fronts and get the word out on Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, etc.). This would be good for tracking when his new album and single come out and let fans know where to concentrate their efforts. I don't think the Hot List is the place for this. It needs to be separate in order to emphasize the importance of supporting Adam this way. It is something they can start doing now while waiting for the Storm to hit.

I would appreciate any suggestions on how to spotlight this and keep the spotlight on!! If anyone wants to help set this up with me at Adam Storm, I would so appreciate it. Thanks!!!

Hi Carly, people view videos more from links on Twitter, FB, articles, etc. Not many are aware of Adam's official Channel or the importance to subscribe. In the case of Adam's Official Channel as I stated below, it has very little content and it seems Ed thinks it is not worth it to update and add more. You have to view content within the channel in order to have it count as a view. I tried viewing my favorites after logging into the channel during the YouTube Contest and it never counted as a view. I still think every fan should at least be signing up at the Channel. The VEVO Channel is important and Adam makes money from people viewing his videos at VEVO. Also the Adam Lambert Groups at VH1 and MTV, Ping for iTunes and PopRepublic can help Adam enormously. It shows these sites how relevant Adam is. Adam has over 2 Million followers at Adam's official page on FB. More than twitter and there are a lot of FB pages devoted to Adam. Adam Storm is one of them. I really need to think this out on what is the best way to include all these social media and channel subscribing/viewing on Adam Storm to let fans know how important it is to be doing this. Again, any suggestions. A page with Tab at the top of the site, a thread. Also want to add charts like the one in the OP and keep updating them so we can chart how he does before and after the album and single drop.
