Hi everyone,

I was supposed to post this yesterday, sept. 10, but finally didn't get to do it... 

A year ago today, I was on a plane, heading to Dallas, where I was meeting my girls from AO's AA thread, for the Thackerville Oklahoma concert. I was excited to see my friends again and to meet @GMarianne79 for the first time, our very naughty Finnish friend... I was also extremely nervous... because that night, I was going to meet my icon, mister Adam Lambert. I was so nervous that I felt sick all day long, and almost backed out... I really thought I wouldn't be able to go through with it.

Well I did go to the M&G, with two of my AA friends, and to this day I still can't believe I was there and how well it went. It's true what they say... that Adam has this amazing gift of making you feel better and so special... During the M&G, he only has eyes for you and really does his best to make you feel at ease. He's so sweet and such a gentleman. I went from being extremely nervous and afraid I wouldn't be able to speak, to having enough confidence and take control of the conversation. And from what the girls told me, I probably am the fan that had the most time with Adam at the M&G, because I just couldn't stop talking! haha!

As my plane was heading to Dallas, I was more and more nervous/anxious. Not long before landing I was so nervous that I felt sick to my stomach (was afraid I could throw up even), and so I thought that I would not be able to go through with the M&G, really... After meeting up with the girls, talking with everyone helped me put my mind at ease, Breathless reassured me, explaining that Adam puts us at ease, very friendly and all. I was still nervous but calmer.

Me, SaraSmiles and Mamak, glamed ourselves up and off we went for our big meeting! I’ll spare you the details of how we finally ended up at the M&G, all I’ll say is that it was a looong wait. I was nervous, my hands were cold…We did not want to be the firsts ones, so we managed to be in the middle of the line. When Adam appeared and I saw him I went "OMG"… We saw how it went for the first ones in line… it was going so fast and my heart started pounding so hard in my chest, I thought it would explode! I was thinking "omg omg it’s almost my turn!". I swear I almost felt like “run and hide!”…lol… Seriously, I was so intimidated.

After buying my M&G pass I’ve thought over and over about what I wanted to say, had different options in my mind. Since everything was going very fast, I decided to go with something very simple. I was the first one of us three to go…

I walk towards Adam and when I get a few feet from him he says “Hi!” and I reply “Bonjour!” with a little shy voice… When I get closer he extends his hand and as we shake hands he says “Hi, excited to be here?” I reply “Yes, very excited” and we lock eyes… I unfortunately wasn’t able to see the blue of his eyes, probably because of the lighting that was dark, or maybe because I wasn’t relaxed enough and had a lot going in my mind so maybe I just don’t remember it.

But we did lock eyes and I suddenly forget about everyone around us, forget about Neil waiting to take the picture. It’s like me and Adam are alone all of a sudden, I gain confidence and literally take control of the conversation!

« I’ll speak to you in French a little and translate after. »

Adam - « Oh, ok!  » He did not expect that and had a surprised look on his face!

So I do my thing, speaking slowly and making a pause every few words. And each time I make a pause he says “Ahan”.

« Je m’appelle Nathalie... »

Adam - « Ahan »

« J’viens de Montréal Québec… »

Adam - « Ahan »

« Et je suis honorée de te rencontrer. »

Adam - « Ahan »

Omg that was such a sweet moment… he has a sweet little smile, and I see in his eyes he doesn’t understand everything. He seems amused, maybe even shy a little...

So I say « Ok I’ll translate now », I think he says “ok” or nods I’m not sure…

« My name is Nathalie, I come from Montreal Quebec... »

Adam - « Oh! Were you at the show? »

Me - « Yes I was! I was front row center! » and we talk about the show a little, he tells me he really liked the crowd, that it was amazing. I tell him I thought it was an amazing show, lots of electricity in the air. He smiles, says “yes” and nods… So I continue...

« It’s an honour to meet you. » He says thank you and notices the cd case in my hands…

« You want me to sign it? » I say yes and start to open it and that’s when he says « Oh! I like your nails! » I say « Thanks » and I’m thinking “Omg he likes my nails” lol…. (I have dark blue nail polish on them with glitter nail polish on top).

He signs the booklet, I close the cd case and I see he wants to reach for me to take the picture, but I start talking again. I put my hand on top of the cd case… look him straight in the eyes…

« About the cd… it’s a gift… for me, for the fans… And you… you’re a gift also. » I was hesitant, shy, and what I wanted to tell him was that he’s a treasure, but the word that came out was a gift… I hope he understood that what I meant was that he’s very special.

 He thanked me, and suddenly Neil brings me back to reality by saying « Ok your time’s up, lets take the picture! »… he almost scared me as I completely forgot that we weren’t alone!! LOL!!!

So we take the picture, Adam turns to me and says thank you… and me, instead of leaving right away… I reach out for him to give him a hug… omg I don’t even ask if I can, I just go for it!! He smiles, leans down and gives me a hug… omg that felt good!! We both say thank you.

We were allowed to take group pictures, so I wait at his right side while SaraSmiles and Mamak have their M&G, and then we take the group picture. I’m at Mamak’s right and Adam reaches for me and puts his right hand at my back. I reach for him also and put my hand at his back and rub it a split second. Wow! That's a split second I wont forget!!

Now I’m not sure 100%… Is it as we head for the table where we could take the t-shirt and poster, or after that… but at some point I turn to him and say « Thank you Adam! »… I didn’t realise he was already with someone else and thought “Oh maybe I shouldn’t have”… I turn away and continue walking and I hear him reply « Thank you! » omg... I didn’t think he would reply since he was with someone else, but he did! My gosh it was a spontaneous thing and I hope the girl that was with him doesn’t hate me for that.

The M&G was such a surreal, awesome, outstanding experience! I look at the picture and I can’t believe it’s for real. I have tears in my eyes… Wow… he’s there holding me… He has a genuine smile on his face… Those amazing eyes… Gosh he’s so beautiful and such a gentleman… I can see in my eyes that I’m like in a trans, and can’t believe I’m there… But I was there… we chatted, we touched, he smiled at me…

I will cherish that moment for the rest of my life!

A little side note: 
When we shook hands... I felt the warmth of his hand... BIG WARM HAND... OMG... I can still feel it... it was so warm (well I was nervous so of course my hand was a bit cold, made his hand feel even warmer)  jeez... gave me shivers and still does now just to think about it!
