You know, if people knew I was writing this, they'd probably discourage me...but I'm so proud of Adam. I am so proud to be a fan of someone so unique, special and genuine. Lets get real for a second and let me tell you my views, for a start. I've prayed to God to change how I feel many times if He so pleases, but I can tell you He hasn't...He's only made me stronger in my beliefs and I recognize that I am either very strong or very foolish for stating them on here. I'm post-orientation. That means that I do not see orientation as a problem or issue...AKA, I am very pro 'Love is a human right' and 'All love is love'. I hate the words 'fag, queer, sodomite' and yes, I even hate the word 'homosexual', because they're just not nice words in my head. I was talking to a very honest gay guy I know today, who happens to also be a Christian, and he said that he wishes it WERE a lifestyle choice.
I have never believed it's a lifestyle choice.
I believe that people of the same gender can fall in love with one another.
I am a STRONG Christian.
I am NOT blinded by my love for Adam.
I'm a Christian girl who is also proud to call herself an Adam Lambert fan.
When the world bullies a child for being camp...when that child comes out...when that child gets more bullied...when that child, that innocent, 14 year old child, kills themselves over the bullies, you have to sit and wonder to yourself what a sick world we live in.
Adam Lambert is my hero because not only is he an amazing performer, but I believe God used him to open my mind and heart and to help me become more confident in order to beat my bullies. I also have much a higher self esteem now and can actually like what I see what I look in the mirror. Don't get me wrong, Adam is NOT my God...God is my God and comes first.
Adam Lambert's mother said, 'I knew Adam was gay from earlier than he knew...'
And then he grew up exactly who she knew he would be because she was supportive.
And because he's who he is and is confident in his own skin, he taught me to be confident in my own skin too. He helped me be FREE...be accepting...be who I truly wanted to be.
When I'm a mother, years from now...I will tell my children this:-
'Kids, it doesn't matter who you love...as long as you bring home someone who cares about you for WHO YOU ARE...who really loves you. I'll love you, no matter what. Whoever you love is who you love because that's who you are. God loves you and made you just the way you are and, if you accept him as your savior and be saved through Jesus, you'll go to heaven.'
Adam Lambert is a very, very good man. He's not perfect, but he's very good. Here's why:
1) He's a complete honest, open book
2) He is very respectful of the person, their life, privacy and religion (unlike his bass player who shoves atheism in people's faces)
3) He never has a negative word to say to anyone and if there's criticism, it's only constructive.
4) Adam doesn't pick fights. He just tells it like it is.
5) He does a lot of work for three charities :- Donors Choose- A charity for school funding, Charity water - Clean water for Africa, and The Trevor Project - Beat bullies.
6) He keeps his family close. He loves his mother.
7) A bunch of othe reasons I cannot list because I need to do an essay now.
My love of God grows every day and he helps me stand firm in my beliefs
You can't help who you love.
Congrats to Adam, his mummy and their PFLAG awards <3 <3
