Become One With Facebook!

Get ready! By early January, you’ll need a Facebook account to take part in your stations’ polls and to interact with them. In just one short week, we’ve already seen several stations using Facebook as a means of voting for Adam’s “BTIKM” in a competition. Beyond that, Facebook is a big part of many stations’ everyday communication with listeners. A few tips about using Facebook:

Voting – Only vote once per day, per station poll. It will look like spamming otherwise, which we don’t want!
Location & Name – I don’t have my location listed on my account because in this day and age I think it’s safer. So when I post anything all they see is my user name and not the town/state where I live! My user name is my actual name because I’m an actual person … a sea of fan names like LittleMonster87, Glambert4EverSue or AnnLovesJustin98 can tend to look less real and more spam-like.
Usage – If you don’t want to inundate your Facebook friends with Adam content, remember you can turn off select postings/activity from your wall. Or if you’re like me, you could care less – and, in fact, hope they see it!

HOW TO STREAM BTIKM IN SPOTIFY

Internet streams of music counts toward BB charting & equates to revenue. To loop BTIKM in Spotify - open up Spotify. In the search window type in Adam Lambert. It will bring up all his music. Look to the bottom left of Spotify and you'll see his album cover for BTIKM. Click on that and it brings you to the song. Now look to the lower right hand corner and you will see an arrow in a semi circle. That is the repeat button. click on that. Now click on the song and it just loops until you tell it to stop.

To lower or raise volume look to the slide bar on the right. You can lower the volume and do tasks as normal in other tabs. The great thing about Spotify is the volume is separate so you can mute and go to Vevo and play videos with the volume up with no interference.

Milkywayfairy, Spotify is a digital music service that gives you access to millions of songs. A lot of people are using these kind of services to access new music, listen to radio and share music with others. I have it on my desktop and on my iPhone. All the new social media charts are including Spotify and LastFM in measuring how popular an Artist is and their songs. I am trying to get BTIKM to be listed as a Top New Song on their chart by streaming it. These type of services are getting more and more popular.

Thanks Barbls for explaining. I just googled it, it's not yet available in Canada. It said "Sign up to be first in line when Spotify launches in Canada!". Interesting! Looks like every country will have their own Sportify that measures popularity of an artist in each country.

Another important thing to remember, hopefully I can sign up in a couple of days. I have been trying to stream at various stations, especially Z100 because they have been tough on Adam in my 'humble' opinion ...
