This is the poem I wrote for Adam that one day I hope to read to him in person...<3 I keep it as a bookmark in every book I read.
I believe that my God gave you to me
To help show that life is an awesome journey,
To show me what matters, what confidence is,
Trust, honesty, realness...it's hardly showbiz,
To help me find out who I truly am,
To face up to my fears, help me remain calm,
To open up wide my eyes and my mind,
To show me what it is to be patient and kind,
To give me the courage to follow my dreams
No matter how weird or unreachable they seem,
To express my opinions in a positive way,
To help me find friend who know just what to say,
To be a positive force in my life,
To help me overcome my worries and strife,
To teach me to love myself, ignore haters and stirrers,
Now I like what I see when I look in the mirrors,
To everyday bless my ears with your song
And I've yet to hear you sing any notes wrong,
From the lowest vibrato to your high, glory notes,
Yet there's never a time when you seem to gloat,
Your modesty, courage and beauty all stand
To assure me of why I am a huge fan,
Your intelligence and talent will never be spoiled,
And this is the reason I will always be loyal,
I don't choose to love just any sir or madam,
With joy in my heart, I unconditionally love...Adam <3
Adam Lambert...I now type directly to you. I know I'm probably never going to get to meet you, but I never ever give up hope because it's been one of my dreams now for two years...the best two years of my life. I've never been more proud to be me than these two years and a big part of the reason for that is you. If you're reading this, the poem above pretty much says all I want to say to you. I am a straight, Christian girl who, because of you, believes that all love has a right to be seen, heart and bound eternally in marriage. I believe in an equal future. You opened my mind and improved my self esteem and boosted my confidence by a million percent. You showed me how to fight for what I want. You showed me that practice makes perfect. I practice my bassoon every single day and believe 100% that I will one day perform for the nation, maybe even the world. If you pardon my saying, you really did show me that there are NO BOUNDARIES! You helped me free myself from the clutches of depression and bullies. I thank God for you every morning and every night. Even though I have yet to even see you in concert, I never give up hope. I wait patiently for my chance.
Thank you for everything. My life has a purpose...you made me realize that.
Love and light and positive energy,
LucyXX
